The Window
The window was dirty, the glass full of dirt and last night’s snow. As the child looked through it
He asked his dad,” Dad, why is everything so dirty outside today ?”
Father smiled and said ,”it’s not the outside landscape that’s dirty but our window.”
The child in his innocence asked,”what?”
He did get what his father was trying to tell him.
So, he went to storage, grabbed some cleaning supplies and cleaned the glass. It was bright and sunny, and as the child looked through the clean glass, he yelled in joy,”look Dad it’s so sunny outside.”
He saw a passenger train going, elated, he waived goodbye to the passengers. As the wind gushed in, he felt cold and ran to his father. So? What did you learn today ? Father asked his son.
He was surprised but with his childish smile asked, learn ? About what ?
Do you mean about the train ?He laughed innocently.
No..he said. The child still quite and surprised. So he began saying, Look. Before I cleaned the glass , it all existed as it is now.
The glass was dirty because of last night’s snow storm.
For all it has lost its glow
And you thought , it’s the weather outside that’s so dirty and the sun didn’t show.
Birds were flying in the sky
Squirrels were dancing up and down the trees
Flowers were enjoying as they were kissed by the bees
The wind so strong ,it blew away the dried leaves.
BUT, my dear son you didn’t see it all, so thought , it doesn’t exist.
Here’s a lesson, you take today…..
For there will be moments when you won’t see the truth even though it is around you as the outside weather today.
For there were, will be days when your mind is clogged and unclear,
You won’t see what’s there,
Think for a moment, clear your mind,
You shall see the bright light.
Your mind will be at peace
But don’t be afraid to ask and speak
Also, don’t just hear but listen and see
Feel the warmth of relations
For all it is the wind of love that carries the fragnance of care
You will be loved and so shall you see….
