My heart at the shore
Sitting at the shore, watching the waters
I asked my heart
Would you rather paddle close to the shore or go to the centre of the lake?
Would you rather dive deep into the water or swim on surface ?
Would you drench yourself in the water or sit on the shore ?
Surprised, my heart laughed and said
I would rather sit by the shore
I asked why ?
It said, “I would let the
wind kiss me
birds sing their best songs for me
when it gets hot, trees shade me”
But isn’t it fun to go in the water? I wondered
Replied my heart .. Yes it is,
but
Sometimes it’s best to watch the waters touch the shore
Shout out loud , yet it’s only the wind you hear
Singing into your ears..
