Hey Fire
When you lit candles on my birthday cake, you felt joy
Oh yes, how can I forget, when you lit my lamp in the temple, you felt hope
Those cold winter nights, sitting beside the fireplace, you felt warmth and life
Those burning sandalwoods, around which I took oath of my marriage, you were a celebration
In all these times, you were hope, celebration, joy to me
But what happened to you?
Those wildfires, burning the forests, the countless lives
That molten lava bursting out because you melted everything in the earth’s core
That burning house, set on fire or accident,
I am so scared of you
Or wait, are you pouring out earth’s anger for what we have done to it?
Yes, you are truly an element of life
Air can be your foe and blow you away
Or, be your friend and turn all into ashes
Water, for sure is not your friend
You are fiery scary or a beautiful hope
I still don’t know…
